Wilsey is a small town in the state of Kansas that has seen good times and bad times.  Like so many other small towns in middle America, it went from a thriving farming community to a virtual ghost town when many residents left the town for greener pastures.  Today, a small core of residents have been left to carry on.  In recent years, a small group of christians have purchased some of the buildings in the town and a renewal is underway.

In this way, Wilsey Kansas is a metaphor for our country and our own lives. We all need the renewing that only the Spirit of the Lord can bring.  It is also an interesting fact that Wilsey Kansas is almost "dead center" on the map of the United States and can be seen as the "heart" of the nation.  It is this renewing that we seek in our lives and the life of the town, our country and most of all, our youth.

As the town aged, many buildings fell into disrepair and require a good deal of "TLC" to bring them back to life.  This is the purpose of our Youth Crusade - to help the residents renew their town while bringing renewal to our lives as well.
